what temperature for my goldfish and pleco catfish in my aquarium?
i have 55 gallon tank and i have it around 51 to 54 degrees farenheit is this good for my catfish and goldfish
Everyone’s going to have a different opinion on this. Personally I try to keep my goldfish tanks around 74 F. Kinda difficult when the temp in your house fluctuates during the hot summer months. Common goldfish can winter in an outdoor pond just fine and adapt to the changing of the seasons very well. But if you have fancy goldfish in an aquarium, I think temps in the 50′s is too low.
The pleco is a tropical fish. In my opinion it belongs in a tropical tank with compatible fish, and goldfish are definitely not compatible for more reasons than just the temperature.
