aquarium lighting fixture help?
i have a 14 gallon tank it measures 20″ and a half long. i want to buy new lights for my tank. do i buy the 20″ sized light fixture? the big problem i have is i am wondering if i can put mounting legs on the light fixture because i heard mounting legs add 2inches extra. i am afraid that putting the mounting legs on the light fixture is not going to fit in my tank. is this true? or are they trying to say it can go 2 inches extra. i am very confused because i dont want to buy light fixture with the mounting legs if it is not going to fit. can i just put the mounting legs on the light fixture and not have extra inches? can the mounting legs go directly down into the tank instead of going outwards from the tank and putting thosew extra inches? anybody that have mounting legs on there lights please help
Yes, you can checkout :
http://www.innovativelights.com
Go there and click on “fixtures” from the menu bar on the left of the screen, then hanging kits and mounting legs and you will see a variety of sets and types. I have the clear type on my odd sized tank and it allows me to hang a light that is suspended above the top of the tank and goes inward so I can use my light that is about 2″ shorter than my tank. You may want check it out because it goes for about $10.
