I own a Freshwater Aquarium, do you need a ultraviolet sterilizer in a tank. Does it help? is it worth the amount of my $70.00. If not is there another cheap way to prevent my fish from getting disease?
the best way to prevent fish from getting sick is to keep their immune systems strong. You do that by imitating the water quality they would have in nature as best you can. Keep the water clean and aerarated. Your fish should be fine if you take care of them properly, a UV sterilizer is just a fancy gimmick.
